Hi
It’s 6c. The skies are a peerless blue.
Caffe Nero faces east. The sun has just risen over the top of Cambridge station, and there is a narrow band of sunlight that shines directly into the baristas’ eyes.
“It’s only for fifteen minutes,” said the head honcho when I mentioned it.
I am sitting with my back to the entrance and can see the baristas squint as they make cappuccinos and americanos.
After I complete this newsletter, it will be back to work on ‘The Half-Life Girl’, the second book in the Portals trilogy. Yesterday, I reached a landmark. 75,000 words. I am three-quarters of the way through Chapter 62, the last one that needs work. I’ve already written Chapters 63 and 64. I will complete the book today!
I am using an app called ProWritingAid to pick up errors and offer suggestions. Two-thirds of the book has already passed through it.
By next Sunday, I hope to be able to tell you that it’s ready to go out to readers for their comments.
